Ferro Titanium is used by stainless steel makers as a stabiliser to prevent chromium carbide forming at grain boundaries and in the production of low carbon steels for sheet production.
Ferro Titanium is manufactured by melting titanium scrap (sponge, chips and solids) with iron in an induction furnace. We source titanium scrap worldwide from ISO 9001:2000 certified and recognised suppliers. We have an extensive scrap processing operation to identify and control titanium scrap. Our ferro titanium is available in standard specification as well as higher grades with low aluminium, low carbon and low oxygen standard grade specifications are as follows:
Standard Grade Chemistry
- Ti – 68-77%, Al – 5% max, V – 3% max, Si – 0.5% max, Sn – 0.5% max, N2 – 0.5% max, C – 0.2% max, S – 0.05% max, P – 0.05% max

Typical Higher Grade(s):
- Ti 68-72%, Al – 0.5% max, V – 0.5% max, C – 0.10%, N – 0.20%, O – 0.60-0.80%
- Ti- 68-72%, Al – 2.50% max, V – 1.50% max, N – 0.40% max, O – 1.00% max
